Results of the Brookline Meetinghouse Survey
Section 1: Introduction
The Town of Brookline assumed ownership of the former Brookline Baptist Church in 2014. The Select Board appointed a committee of volunteers to work on behalf of the town to restore the building to a structurally sound condition for the purpose of creating a public space suitable to the needs of Brookline’s populace, while maintaining historic features that make this early church unique in our state.
In the coming years, decisions will be made that affect the interior, exterior and the grounds. Your thoughts and ideas are critical to our efforts and will help guide us as we move forward. In what ways do you see the Meetinghouse serving the needs of Brookline, both now and in the future, and to what extent do you believe public money should be used to make future uses possible?

The Meetinghouse Committee has raised funds for restoration projects throughout the years by applying for grants, holding fund-raising events, and appealing for donations. In addition, would you support the use of taxpayer funds to further rehabilitate the Meetinghouse for public use?
