Upcoming Roadwork & Road Closures
The Town would like to make residents aware of several upcoming road projects that may affect travel over the coming weeks and months.
Grassy Brook Road – Green Mountain Power
Green Mountain Power will soon begin installing utility poles on Grassy Brook Road between Hill Road and Whitney Hill Road. We do not yet have an exact start date.
Ellen Ware Road – Culvert Replacement
Ellen Ware Road will be closed at some point for a culvert replacement. Work could begin as early as this month, and the road is expected to remain closed for several weeks.
Grassy Brook Road – Paving
Two sections of Grassy Brook Road are expected to be paved in August or September.
Hill Road – Stone Arch Bridge
As many have already seen, the Stone Arch Bridge remains closed for repairs and is expected to remain closed at least through September.
Construction schedules often depend on contractor availability, weather, grant approvals, and utility company timelines, so exact dates are not always available.
For the most up-to-date official information on Town projects and decisions, we encourage residents to read the Selectboard meeting minutes or attend meetings. Please note that contractor schedules and road closures are outside the Town Clerk’s control and may change with little notice.
