Town of Brookline Invitation to Bid 

Bids are being solicited for painting the exterior of the 

Historic Brookline Church Steeple

A current certificate of insurance is required at the time the bid is submitted to the selectboard.  Work must be completed by October 30, 2022 and inspected to the satisfaction of the selectboard.  Submit anticipated start date with bid.

Methods and materials for the exterior painting are as follows:

Provide a suitable high reach lift to access the side and headwalls of the steeple.  Scraping all loose and failing paint.  Sealing nail heads and knots.  Oil primer to be used on any new or exposed wood.  Repair and renail any loose clapboard.  Caulking.  Two coats of acrylic finish paint.  Shutters will be scraped, primed and painted with two coats of finish paint.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid it deems most favorable for the Town.  Send bids to:  Town of Brookline, PO Box 403, Brookline Vt 05345 or hand-deliver to 734 Grassy Brook Road, Brookline Vt,  Attention Brookline Meeting House Repairs.  Sealed bids will be opened approximately 6:45 pm on Wednesday- March 16, 2022 during the selectboard meeting.
