A Message from our Selectboard Chair

There are several committees in town that could use some volunteers to fill the empty seats. All are welcome to come to a Selectboard meeting to ask questions. Our web site lists all of the appointed committees and vacancies that still need to be filled. Win Clark will be at this Wednesday’s Selectboard meeting talking about RESCUE Inc. We do not have any representation with RESCUE for the third year. We are all invited to the open house on June 10th at the new RESCUE site in Jamaica. Beatrice Birch will also be at Wednesday night’s meeting introducing the plan to establish a 12-bed residential alternative detox and recovery program and building project in town called Inner Fire. More information will be available at an Act 250 hearing in the future. We will also be discussing the road improvements planned for this summer, including some paving on Hill Road. It will be an informative meeting as always!

If you have time, please consider getting involved… join the Historical Society, become the L & G School Director from Brookline, get on the planning committee, participate in the revitalization of the Historic Brookline Meeting House. Come out and be heard!
