Absentee Ballots

Hi everyone,

Our town has just received ballots for the Presidential Primary, March 1, 2016. For those wishing to vote by absentee ballot there are a number of ways to do this. First, naturally, you must be a legal registered voter. If you are not registered, visit our town website www.brooklinevt.com, scroll down on the side bar and select “Resource Links” than select the link “MY Voter Page” The New Online Voter Registration Tool – allows all eligible Vermonters to submit their voter registration application online anytime and anywhere they can access the internet; and the New “My Voter Page” – online resource that allows every registered voter to login and have access to a unique, voter-specific web page where they can request an absentee ballot, track its status, update their voter registration record, find their polling place, view a sample ballot, and much more. Other options include using the “Quick Downloads” link at the bottom of our website. Brookline residents can print out and mail the Request for An Absentee Ballot form to The Town of Brookline, PO Box 403, Brookline, VT 05345. You may also stop by the town office during our normal business days, where you can register, request a ballot (after filling out the request form) and vote all in the same visit. Last resort, call the town office anytime 365-4648, leave a voice mail with your name, address, and phone number and I will mail out the Request for an Absentee Ballot form. Please note, you may submit multiple request in the same mailing but each voter must fill out and sign his or her own form. Remember, if you are not registered you must register to vote seven days prior to the date of the election. The town office will be open Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 3P.M. – 5P.M. for those needing to register for the Leland & Gray Budget vote and Wednesday February 24, 2016, 3 P.M – 5 P.M. for those needing to register to vote in the Presidential Primary. Those of you who are 17 years of age may vote in the Presidential Primary if and only if you register on time and will be 18 years of age at the time of the General Election in November of 2016. If anyone has any further questions do not hesitate to call. Hope to see you all at the polls.

Regards,
Guy
