Last Minute Voter Information

As we all know, COVID case counts are on the rise in Vermont. This is one of the reasons for Absentee/Early Voting ballots being mailed to all active legal voters. As of Tuesday evening October 27th, 178 of Brookline's 403 active voters (44%) have cast their vote by returning their absentee/early voting ballots. We are hoping more of you will do the same before the polls close Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 7 PM.

Absentee ballots can be returned by mailing in the postage prepaid envelopes, dropped off at the town office or by putting them in the mail slot at the back door of the office 7/24. Please be sure to sign the Inner Certificate Envelope. Your vote will not count if we cannot identify who the ballot is from.

While we encourage everyone to vote via Absentee Ballot, for those wishing to vote in person, Brookline's polling place is the Town Office 734 Grassy Brook Road. Polls will open 9AM and close at  7PM.

You may also bring your absentee ballot with you to the polls and you will be checked off as voting absentee or you can turn in your unvoted absentee ballot and request a new ballot. If you do not return your absentee ballot you will be required to sign an affidavit stating you have not voted absentee and will be given a new ballot.

Any questions or concerns please contact us by email: brook763@comcast.net , phone 802-365-4648 or check the "MY VOTER PAGE" : https://mvp.sec.state.vt.us/

One last thing, our town will be practicing State and CDC guidelines and require face masks and using hand sanitizer in order to vote. To maintain social distancing we will be allowing only two voters in at a time in the polling place. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during these challenging times and look forward to seeing you Tuesday .

Regards,
Guy
