DESCRIPTION:BROOKLINE GREEN UP DAY is Saturday\, May 2nd \nJoin your community and give back to our environment by picking up roadside and public space litter. It is fun\, feels great to give and makes a huge impact in the health of our town. \nGreen Up trash bags are available at the Town Bulletin Boards now and during Town Office hours: \n\nTuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm\, and\nSaturday May 2nd from 9:00 am to noon.\n\nGreen Up Day – Saturday\, May 2nd \nOn Green Up Day\, coffee and snacks will be available at the Town Office. Volunteers are meeting at the Town Office on Saturday morning starting at 9 am with the town map to track what road sections have been claimed by volunteers and what sections still need volunteers – stop by if you are looking for a road assignment. \nYou don’t have to wait until Green Up Day to begin. Please let one of us know which road section you will be covering so we can avoid redundant efforts and cover as much of the roadsides as possible. Contact information is below. You can also post on Brookline’s Facebook page. \nPlease leave Green Up trash bags in a visible location by the side of the road or at the end of the road.  Or you can drop off the bags at the Town Office between 9 am and noon on Saturday\, May 2nd . \nPlease Stay Safe \n\nTICKS. The ticks are out. Don’t let them get attached!\nTRAFFIC. Watch out for traffic\, make sure you are visible to drivers.\nSHARP OBJECTS.
