The Brookline Board of Abatement will have an abatement hearing on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the town office located at 734 Grassy Brook Road, Brookline, Vermont. The purpose of this hearing will be to organize, review abatement statutes and hear the circumstances presented for the Cutts family regarding a request for tax abatement. After review of the circumstances, the board will close the hearing and go into deliberative session to decide whether to grant the abatement. The Board of Abatement consists of Town Selectboard, Listers, all Justice of the Peace, Town Treasurer and Town Clerk. A majority of the board must be present in order for the board to meet.
